It’s that time of year where high school seniors are gearing up to knock out their last year. They’ll be getting caps and gowns in order, scheduling SAT or ACT testing, and of course, getting their senior portrait shoot done.
I recently had the honor of doing a senior portrait shoot for the daughter of a long time friend of mine. The beautiful high school senior you see here is Gia Fazal. I’ve known her father, Yoosof, for well over a decade. I used to be pretty heavily into the local car scene and that is how I met Yoosof. We’ve had many get togethers over the years so I remember Gia when she was all of two years old.
This photo shoot was a pretty special one for me because it really hit home that we are getting OLD! I still can’t believe that the little girl I knew back then is now getting ready to finish high school. That thought flashed in my head repeatedly throughout the photo shoot. This reminds me of the fact that my own daughter is 13 years old already. Time truly does pause for NO ONE!
Gia has grown into a beautiful young woman who make this photo shoot a breeze! Every time I hit that shutter button, she gave me gold! Gia made this photo shoot really easy and fun, which is apparent in that gorgeous smile of hers!
I want to thank Yoosof, Gia, Deb, and the rest of the Fazal family for giving me the honor of capturing this priceless memory. I’ll always remember this one! Here are a few of the many gems Gia gave me. You can view the rest of the gallery here!
