The location you choose for your photo shoot can be just as important as the photographer you choose.  The location can help to set the mood, and it really helps when the location has sentimental value.  Your photo shoot will last a lifetime so why not make them a beautiful as possible.  Your photographer will usually have some great advice on beautiful locations.  Haven’t booked a photographer yet?  Here are 5 of the top photogenic locations in Milwaukee.

Whitnall Park

5879 S 92nd St, Franklin, WI

Whitnall Park is a photographer’s dream.  It is filled with gems that provide unlimited photo opportunities.  The highlights of the park include a waterfall, a red barn, and even a Botanical Garden!  If your photographer can’t get gorgeous photos of you here, he/she is definitely doing something wrong.

Milwaukee Art Museum

700 N Art Museum Dr., Milwaukee, WI

The Art Museum has been a photogenic staple in Milwaukee since the day it was built.  Be sure to call the Art Museum to make sure there aren’t any special events scheduled on the day of your shoot.  Your photographer should also contact the museum to get any clarification on the photo policy there.  There are more photogenic locations there, both inside and out, than you’ll be able to hit in one day.

Lakeshore State Park

500 N Harbor Dr, Milwaukee, WI

There are fantastic locations in Lakeshore State Park that are perfect for a couple’s photo shoot.  It offers a gorgeous view of both Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee skyline.  Lakeshore State Park is within walking distance of the Milwaukee Art Museum and is tucked in behind the Summerfest grounds.

Seven Bridges Trail

Grant Park in South Milwaukee, Wi

The Seven Bridges trail also offers beautiful views of Lake Michigan.  There are several trails that offer their own unique photo opportunities.  This is one of Milwaukee’s most photogenic locations in the fall.  Parking is plentiful as are the photographers!  Plan on navigating  your way around other photo shoots.  Photographers flock to this location for good reason……IT IS BEAUTIFUL!

Historic 3rd Ward

Downtown Milwaukee,Wi

This area showcases many specialty shops, restaurants, art galleries and theatre groups, and condos.  It’s vibrance is thanks to an extensive restoration that took place in the late 80s and 90s.  It’s renaissance has attracted numerous creative businesses, including many photography studios.  One walk around the area makes the reasoning quite clear.  The Milwaukee Public Market is a staple of the city.  The river walk is a gorgeous area which has been the location for many engagement shoots.
